About the Future Diplomats Forum 2027

The Forum is designed to bring together students, recent graduates, young professionals, aspiring diplomats, policy advocates, and emerging leaders interested in international relations, diplomacy, public policy, and global cooperation.

For its second edition, the conference will offer 250 scholarship places across three participation categories. These include 50 fully funded scholarships, 100 partially funded scholarships, and 100 forum access places. Applicants from all nationalities are welcome to apply.

The programme will provide opportunities to learn about international diplomacy through keynote presentations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, diplomatic simulations, institutional engagement, and networking activities.

Participants will also have opportunities to engage with the international environment in Geneva, a major centre for multilateral diplomacy and international cooperation.

Why Attend the Forum in Geneva?

Geneva is home to important international institutions, including the United Nations Office at Geneva and the World Trade Organization. It also hosts numerous international organisations and permanent diplomatic missions.

The location provides participants with an opportunity to explore how international cooperation works in practice.

During FDF 2027, delegates can expect activities and discussions related to:

  • United Nations and international cooperation: Learn about multilateral negotiations, human rights mechanisms, and the work of international agencies.
  • World Trade Organization: Explore international trade negotiations and the relationship between diplomacy and economic policy.
  • Global governance: Participate in discussions about international institutions and the changing nature of multilateral cooperation.
  • Humanitarian affairs: Examine issues connected to humanitarian action, international law, and global challenges.
  • International networking: Connect with participants from different countries, academic backgrounds, and professional sectors.

Institutional engagement with Geneva-based organisations is part of the programme. The specific activities and access arrangements should be confirmed with the organiser.
