About the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA)

The National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA) is a recognized leader in the victims’ rights movement. Established in 1975, the organization has spent decades advocating for the advancement and enforcement of victims’ rights, championing dignity and compassion for victims and survivors of crime, and promoting the professionalization of victim advocacy.

NOVA is committed to excellence in victim advocacy and crisis response. The organization provides trauma-informed training, education, and credentialing to victim assistance professionals and allied practitioners, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to support survivors effectively and respectfully.

Its work focuses on delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based, and accessible educational content; promoting inclusive and culturally responsive practices, policies, and programs; and maintaining high educational and ethical standards across the victim assistance field. Through these efforts, NOVA seeks to ensure that every survivor receives knowledgeable, compassionate, equitable, and respectful support that promotes their wellbeing.

About the Position

NOVA is seeking a mission-focused, highly organized, and creative Military Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Program Manager to oversee its Advocating for Military-Connected Survivors Program.

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day implementation of a grant-funded initiative supported by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The program aims to strengthen military-civilian coordinated community responses and improve support for military-connected survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS).

The Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, monitoring grant deliverables, developing and delivering training, responding to technical assistance requests, producing educational resources, managing partnerships, and evaluating program effectiveness. The role also involves translating emerging research and promising practices into practical tools and training that help victim advocates and civilian criminal justice professionals better serve military-connected survivors.

Working under the supervision of NOVA’s Associate Director of Military CCR, the Program Manager will coordinate subject matter experts, consultants, partner organizations, subrecipients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery. Although the position has no direct reports, it includes responsibility for directing the work of consultants and subject matter expert faculty.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in victim services, an understanding of military systems and culture, strong project management abilities, and a commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.
