About the Organisation

The Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) is a regional feminist organisation committed to advancing women’s human rights, strengthening women’s organising power, building solidarity across social movements, and promoting Development Justice. APWLD works with women’s rights organisations, grassroots movements, and other partners throughout Asia and the Pacific to challenge structural inequalities and influence regional and international policy processes.

The organisation is inviting applications from women in all their diversities, including those from minority and marginalised groups across Asia and the Pacific, who have the relevant experience, qualifications, and commitment to feminist movements and social change.

About the Role

The Programme Associate will support two key APWLD programmes: Women Interrogating Trade & Corporate Hegemony (WITCH) and Grounding the Global (GG).

WITCH works to strengthen the capacity of women’s rights organisations to understand, analyse, engage with, and influence trade and investment agreements and policies. The programme promotes feminist trade justice, challenges corporate power, and advocates for economic and political frameworks that protect human rights and advance Development Justice.

Grounding the Global focuses on strengthening grassroots women’s participation and influence in regional and international policymaking. Through capacity building, monitoring, research, and advocacy, the programme works to ensure that women’s voices and social movements shape policies affecting their rights and development.

The successful candidate will work closely with Programme Officers, Programme Organising Committee members, APWLD’s Secretariat, and partner organisations to coordinate activities, support advocacy, conduct research, document programme outcomes, and contribute to reports and publications.

This is a full-time remote position, with the employee working from their home country and undertaking frequent international travel as required.
